Home Energy Performance Audit Cost Scale
(prices effective January 2011)
Each Energy Performance Audit includes:
- Review with homeowner the concerns and issues
- Tour of the entire home with homeowner
- Inspection of exterior, interior, attic, basement, crawlspace
- Efficiency and performance analysis of all appliances, HVAC and water heating systems
- Indoor air quality monitoring (CO, combustible gas)
- Blower door test to quantify leaks in the home’s shell
- Infrared thermographic as well as digital images taken to track temperature transfers between the conditioned and unconditioned areas of your home
- Final written report containing all findings, documentation and recommendations
Homes, all electric
- Electric heating and cooling systems
- Electric water heating system

*for pricing purposes, a ‘zone’ is an individual electric HAVAC unit with a thermostat.
Homes with combustion appliances
- Gas or Propane fired water heater(s)
- Gas, Propane or Oil fired furnace; boiler

*Tax will be collected as appropriate.
Prices are scheduled for services in Frederick and Washington counties (Maryland).
A minimum travel charge of $50 will be assessed for locations beyond this service area.
