Do you have:
- Energy bills that seem too high for your residence?
- Cold floors in the winter?
- Hot rooms upstairs in the summer?
- Drafty rooms? Dry indoor air in winter?
- Ice dams on the roof in winter?
- Mold, mildew or musty odors?
- Moisture on windows?
- What seems to be inefficient heating and air conditioning?
Our approach, our process
Our process is based on applying inspection, building science principles, physical science measurements and shared experiences. We inspect the entire home, inside and out. The professional, comprehensive analysis of your home based on the most current applied sciences and technologies. Our equipment and instruments are state-of-the-art and our staff trained by the industry-leading Building Performance Institute (BPI).
Applied technology
We digitally monitor temperature, relative humidity, CO, and test for the presence of petroleum fuels when applicable. We can test all the combustion appliances (furnaces, boilers and water heaters fueled by oil, natural gas, propane or kerosene) with a state-of-the-art combustion analyzer to check for safety and the appliance’s energy efficiency.

We utilize the newest technology in infrared imaging to identify, in real-time, thermal gain or loss in your home’s shell. These images are very useful in investigating “where does all the heat go?!”

We measure the amount of air exchange (air flow through your home) by using a calibrated blower door test. This is particularly useful for our Maryland clients when we later return FOR FREE to re-test and confirm the effectiveness of the energy performance improvements you've done. We will use an ENERGY STAR format to ensure you got the up-performance you paid for.
At the culmination of our on-site visit you will receive a briefing on our findings. Within two weeks you will receive a detailed, written report which will be a summary of everything inspected, observed, documented, measurements taken, analysis results, additional resources and (most importantly) a sequential list of recommendations for home energy and comfort improvement.

We are your analyst, consultant and advocate
With no bias as to who makes the improvements, as long as someone does and it gets done correctly, we are absolutely neutral and dedicated solely to our client… you.
What does it cost?
Our basic home energy audits cost:
$395 - homes up to 3,000sf
$495 - homes 3-5,000sf
will price - homes greater than 5,000sf
$75 - per combustion appliance tested (fueled furnace, boiler, water heater)
Don't forget our Americans Serving America appreciation program; it could mean a 10% discount for you!
Follow through is important!
Our Home Energy Performance Audit is only the first step. The recommendations the audit provides MUST be implemented in order to make the energy efficiency and comfort improvements you seek!
We can't fix it for you, but we know who can
As analysts/consultants we will find why your home is difficult to keep affordably comfortable, and we will provide you with the recommendations and guidance on how to improve the related situation(s) in your home, but we do not do the improvements.
We will, however, be honored to provide you with contacts to pre-qualified professionals in any number of specialty trades and services that we trust... just ask.
Our Commitment to you: make sure it was done right!
If you are in Maryland and make the improvements recommended in this report within 6 months of our site visit, we will return and re-test or re-inspect to confirm energy savings for free. Upon successful improvement of at least three qualified energy improvements or energy savings of 10% or more we will submit a report to that effect to the Maryland Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program office for you to receive an ENERGY STAR Home Performance Certificate.
YES! We are that committed to our clients!
