O’Malley Helps the Homeowner
Frederick, Maryland (June 21, 2011) – Glory Energy Solutions, a local energy company announces today to the Frederick County community that the Maryland Energy Administration has increased the popular Home Performance Rebate program by an additional $500,000 bringing the total amount to $1,520,000.
The program offers a 35% rebate (up to $3,100 total) toward qualifying home efficiency upgrades. Glory Energy Solutions has helped local clients save $45,923 since January, 2011 on their energy improvements through the rebate program. To date, nearly 700 Marylanders have participated in the program with an average rebate of $1,514.
The Home Performance Rebate program can be used to hire a Maryland Home Performance contractor to complete a number of qualifying home energy efficiency upgrades, including: whole-house air sealing; duct replacement; and insulation of walls, attics, crawl spaces, and basements. Each of these upgrades will help to keep homes more comfortable in extreme weather, and save homeowners money by lowering their energy bills throughout the life of the investment.
“Our clients begin this process with a comprehensive home performance audit as required by the program” states Leah Crace-Jones, president of Glory Energy Solutions. “Once it has been determined what energy improvements they need, our company provides not only the improvements but we walk our clients through the rebate process”.
To schedule an audit and begin the rebate process, residents may call Glory Energy Solutions at 240.439.4064. Glory Energy Solutions is a woman owned, local business serving the Frederick, Washington, Carroll and Montgomery County area.
